I need one working set.

Toss out a price or a trade offer. Recoup part of the price of an M you are buying just for key caps.

“No political truth is of greater intrinsic value, or is stamped with the authority of more enlightened patrons of liberty: The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands .… may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” —James Madison, Federalist 47
“All the powers of government, legislative, executive, and judiciary, result to the legislative body. The concentrating of these in the same hands, is precisely the definition of despotic government. An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one .... in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.” — Thomas Jefferson, commentary on Federalist 48

I've got one, but it's inside of the case and I don't have a nut driver narrow enough to fit in the slots. Unless someone else gets you one before I find the time, I'll try using the bic pen + lighter method to make a nut driver to open it up.

Fohat, don't you have a dozen? What's your latest project anyway?

Fohat, don't you have a dozen?

I have 2 dead sets, and with all the different combinations and permutations of controllers and membranes, I just want a unit that works. The connections between these 2 that I have are incompatible, and I don't know where the problems lie, anyway.

Fohat, that's why you shouldn't just ask for a random model M controller. You need to take photos and say which model. I also have a spare controller, but I suspect it is not compatible because it is from a terminal.

That is why I want the controller and membranes as a set.
