Nah I still have some the original green LEDs when I replaced some of the LEDs with white ones

Y, just swap it out. Although you should try to match the forward voltage drop to the others on the same resistor if they are grouped. Good to replace it ASAP in that case, too, since if one dies the others could get more current each. That said, most boards don't supply enough current to fry LED's easily, they're often running at a fraction of their max current rating. Better safe than sorry, though.

My LEDs shouldnt die so easily since I usually type in reactive mode

If your board supports reactive mode, they probably all have their own resistor anyway, so no worries.

That is one of the things I have about backlight leds (aside from the fact that I do not like the way it looks and it is distracting), they tend to die. There are so many brands where the leds are consistently the first thing to give out. LEDS on a keyboard simply means adding about 100+ extra things that are all more likely to break than anything else in the keyboard.
