IBM M5-1 cable
« on: Sun, 19 October 2014, 12:06:33 »
Recently got my hands on an IBM M5-1. The PS/2 to SDL cable it came with isn't Y'ed, so the trackball isn't working. I've looked all over but can't seem to find one. Anyone know where i might be able to? Or suggest a mod/workaround for this?

Hmm, you could cut open the SDL cable and solder in the other PS/2 conenctor

but your best bet is to just buy another cable:

yeah I don't think there's a source for them other than  unicomp, and they're sort-of rare otherwise so I wouldn't expect another vendor to have stock.
