Yeah ^_^I guess i have an obsession with brand new items. I would rather pay the extra 35 usd if thast means the item I'm getting isnt 2.5-3 years old

Just because EK is selling it as 'new' doesn't mean it isn't 2.5-3 years old.

People have gotten 'new' as it never used HHKB's that were dated a few years before the actual purchase was made.

It would be a bit more work on your end to do those things yourself. But it's YOUR money, do what you want with it.

From what he told me, he's going to 55g mod it anyways, so he'll be voiding the warranty from the get go. Might as well buy used. I have nothing against EK, and I've gotten both of my Topre boards from there, but if you're planning on modding, just cut out the middleman and save some cash.

My original plan was to buy it used since the price difference was higher prior to the EK sale, although, I do prefer new especially when the premium isn't too high.

If someone was to sell a used poker for 90usd I would much rather pay 107usd for it from MK.com brand new but if the brand new price for it was 130 then I would obviously chose the used 90usd.
