Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless Q's

Does anyone know if it is possible to get these in white?  Or white keycaps?  I would love to try and make my own color combinations for the keys with the Rit dye technique.. http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:4962

Also, has anyone compared the Otaku coated keys with the blank keycaps that you can get separately?  Is the coating on the Otaku that much more worth it, especially in regards to the dread shinys?

There was a thread that cropped up saying that Elitekeyboards does special order items. I don't like to believe it unless I hear it from the horses mouth. If that is true, they do make white Filcos (on the Diatec website). I haven't seen white legendless keycaps though (I'm sure Signature Plastics makes them or something...but I haven't seen any places selling them, just Topre keys)

Nice GreeN!  Good option there.  Would just have to figure which family/type matches the Filco.

Anyone have experience comparing the 'Otaku' keys to the regular keys?  I thought I could order the Otaku with blue switches and the printed caps in brown switches and just switch em around depending on which swith type and keycap texture I like best.

But looking closer at the pictures it seems that even the board itself is coated with special sauce on the Otaku and not just the keys.  Since Otaku is limited edition I probably better just get both of them in Otaku that way I should have an easier time selling whichever switch style I like less.

Not being in America I haven't been following that closely but I had the impression that the only thing lacking the coating was the seperate keys and that the blank/blue cherry keyboards were no different from the others.

In case you're wondering the FKBN91M/JB is a Japanese-layout Tenkeyless.

However I do not think they can special order items not listed on the Diatec website. In other words, they can only order what is listed in the shop.

sorry didn't want to make it out to sound like you were a liar, I just didn't want to be like "YIPPIE HOORAY!!" if Elitekeyboards wasn't intending on it being a service he could always offer, thanks for the email ^^
