Ducky Shine 3 TKL firmware problem (?)

Hi,

I bought a used Ducky Shine 3 TKL and except for a broken switch which I am going to replace, everything seems fine. But the board does something none of my others do. First I noticed that sometimes when I move it around and press some keys by accident, the keyboard just restarts itself. After some testing I found out that this is caused by a ghosting/masking like problem when pressing caps lock and one of q,tab,1 or ` at exactly the same time (not when pressing or holding them in sequence). If this is done, the corresponding key is spammed and after a few seconds the keyboard restarts itself. If the dip switch for swapping ctrl and caps lock around is used, more keys are affected, spreading in an rectangular manner, hence I think it's a firmware problem. But because I still can send it back I would be really grateful if someone could check their ducky and confirm it has the same "issue" (it's not that bad).

Edit 2: Did a bit more testing, when using ctrl as caps lock basically the whole alphanumerical block is affected.

did you try factory reset? or flash the new firmware?

I don't remember pressing the keys quite like that, but I haven't noticed that kind of behaviour from my Ducky Shine 3.

I didn't try a newer firmware yet but I already tried a factory reset. But I though I'll give the factory reset a try again. After that the problem was gone and I thought to myself "Mh, maybe the problem is related to the LED setup". And sure enough, after I set the LEDs up the way I wanted, the problem was there again. It only seems to occur with the Reactive Mode with fading. Didn't find an other LED setting yet where the same problem occurs.

I don't know what version firmware you have, but the more recent firmware significantly enhances the reactive effect - you can configure how long until the LEDs fade again.

This is my favourite lighting mode :)

If it's not upto date, i would try to flash the new firmware since it also have some minor bug fixes.
If you run the firmware updater, it will also show you your current firmware version.
