What to do with iPhone 4?
« on: Sun, 23 November 2014, 12:14:38 »
What to do with iPhone 4 (32gb, black, ATT) Sell or use for something?
If I can get $80+ it's a no brainer and will sell, less than that I'd consider doing something with it other than just a music player/camera.

Anything with keyboard/computing that could be fascinating? A mod in vehicle? Does jailbreaking allow for something awesome (I've never jailbroken, is it easy/fun?)

I am aware I can make a remote access camera monitor for free with www.manything.com

I have a Mophie Juice Pack with it as well.

You could enable wireless sync, stick it in an alarm clock or other speaker dock thing and have it in the house somewhere?

You could jailbreak and install the tweak AirPlayServer to stream music to it. Just plug it into a set of speakers or a TV.

Pick up a bluetooth OBD2 scanner for your car and use it to display things like gas mileage, engine RPMs, cam timings, or values from any of the other myriad of sensors your car has.

Looks like you can still get around $60 bucks for it on glyde if its in really good condition.

1-Actually music streaming at home of Pandora/Sirius is good. Don't need to use computer/new iPhone
2-Remote access video camera is fun but not needed.
3-Car stats are neat, But I already have an Ultragauge.  http://www.ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/
4-Maybe $50 is best bet, or on CL a little more. Phone is not flawless by a long shot.

Demmi you working? ****, I'd like to bike around Venice beach midday and check out the freaks and hotties.

But if you did, that T+A is really awesome.
I was walking down the boardwalk with a buddy and heard a girl say "beep-beep" behind us. We parted as she rollerbladed sideways between us. As she skated past I grabbed a string on her bikini top and as she rolled past...you guessed it. Thank god she was super-hot and super-cool.

God I loved Venice in the day!

I guess the ability to stream Sirius/Pandora/whatever docked with wi-fi isn't the worst thing in the world. Pretty worthless item without cellular and if you have a n main device. I'll check CL to see what I can get for it.
