Ducky Minii question about typing.

Hey,

so I had a Poker II at home and wanted to get a second Keyboard for work. I really loved the feeling of the Poker with MX Blues, So I bought a Ducky Mini and really love the features like Capslock on Tab and Mouse via WASD and so on. But the typing feels mushy on all the keys not just the keys with stabilizers. Can someone explain why this is? They bot have MX Blue Switches.

Thin ABS keycaps vs thick PBT? Only thing I can think of that's really different between them. Both plate mounted, same switch type, both solid dual layer PCB. AFAIK, the Ducky Mini doesn't come stock with orings, does it?

Yes it doesn't which is why I put PBT Caps on which did not help. BTW, my Poker II is a backlit model thus it also had ABS.

I had a mini also with mx blues and I felt the same way also. The cherry mx blues felt somewhat mushy. It's the reason I sold the thing. Could it be the backplate or case?

The only thing that I could think of would be the cap hitting the LED.
This is a fairly common problem, but I don't know if that would be the problem since you said that you had a backlit poker II

Well that could be a reason still since the Poker II LED is top mounted and Ducky Mini at the Bottom. That is pretty much the only really difference.

Try to desolder an LED and see if that makes a difference.
I know that LEDs can DEFINITELY make things mushy.

if you're talking about the ducky shine mini
