I have used them before, and they are definitely great for typing. However, sometimes, the ribbon cable for the indicator lights comes undone and they aren't as serviceable as a model M.

I took one of mine apart before, there's screws under some of the rubber feet, the bottom two if I recall correctly (bottom relative to the label when it's the right way up) There didnt seem to be any obvious way of opening the keyboard assembly however.

I also have a defunct Model M4-1. If you figure out how to open the assembly, let me know.

When I received both of mine in the post, that cover thing had fallen off. Despite the fact that Brian O' Neill sent one of them in an inch thick layer of newspaper and possibly bubble wrap.
