Hi all. I just stumbled onto this site while researching ErgoDox stuff. Looks like an amazing community. Hopefully I can contribute some nice content.

Welcome! What boards have you got if you don't mind me asking?
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Hey! Building and programming my friend's ErgoDox is how I ended up here. Welcome!
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I have a Filco TKL with MX Browns that I've had for years. Also a more recent purchase of a Ducky DK2108SZ with MX Blues in it. I stumbled onto the Ergodox when researching custom mechs. The original Microsoft Natural was one of my favorite keyboards I just always wished it was mechanical. Ergodox looks like exactly what I want. :)

Awesome, I really look forward to it, just have to find the parts.

Welcome to Geekhack!

There's a lot of ErgoDox fans here, only a few of them are certifiably crazy :p

Very popular keyboard, there are some absolutely fantastic cases and ED setups if you browse through the media section.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
