Video on youtube: http://youtu.be/wlHVNzhwktc

Hacked together so I can start prototyping effects for the production keyboards.

You wouldn't say that if you'd seen the LED PCBs after I used scissors to cut them apart and reposition individual LEDs to fit ;)

But thanks. We're pretty psyched.

That does look very pretty but if I you're looking for feedback before launching a commercial product the side LEDs of the thumb clusters should be "moved" further from the middle.  That is to say in the attached pic the left of the left cluster should be greener and the right of the right pinker.  Might just be config or because they can move, but it's hard to tell from a nighttime shot.

I'm being really picky, how many people will actually use a rainbow effect to notice anyway?  Not me, I'd be busy dialling in my favourite shade of orange :))

Great work!

@suicidal_orange, indeed that video is the near final led PCBs hacked to fit an old thumb layout, aligned with scotch tape and running the default neopixel demo sketch. It. ... Should not have worked at all.

In that case I'm sure the final version will be perfect - there's plenty of light even with all the tape!

And we have yet to start playing with keycap material.  But I'm really digging the clear Matias keyswitches :)
