Razer Blackwidow Tournament 2014 not detected
« on: Sat, 03 January 2015, 07:01:39 »
That happened at new year's night, when I was playing games with friends. The keyboard just turned off, I've exited game and Razer Synapse asked for an update, I updated it and nothing happened, keyboard wasn't recognized. I reconnected it to another usb-ports, some times it gave a sound like device is connected and keyboard lighted up pale, some times not. Every time I reconnect the keyboard to computer, it heats up in the right part of it. Asking for advices.

No idea what it could be. Have you tried connecting it to another computer?

Sounds like something might've gone really wrong inside the board. Might be worth opening up and having a look.

Is it new? If so, I'd try and return it as faulty and get a replacement, probably the best and more viable route to be honest.

If you still have warranty, you can easily return it and get a new one.
Razer is very generous with their replacement policy. They have to. You cannot sell inferior hardware with cloud spyware AND have a ****ty support.

Yes, I tried to connect it to another computer and it wasn't detected. I think the problem might be in firmware, but can't reinstall it, cuz can't find firmware for razer blackwidow te 2014. There is a problem to use warranty as I've bought the keyboard in another country.

I actually had the same problem (with the regular Blackwidow Ultimate, not TE), and I think a re-start fixed it. Have you tried that?

Sounds like the kind of "quality" I've come to expect from Razer.  Their products tend to develop faults within 12-months and rarely last more than 2-years.  My advice is to get a refund, if possible, and buy a different brand.
