Wooden wrist rests
« on: Thu, 08 January 2015, 21:13:41 »
Hey guys,

After I hit my 2 month membership and my posts requirement I intent to sell a couple of wooden wrist rests here on geekhack.

Here's some pics of the stuff I've made recently -

Here's just the pics, no prices or sizes.

All together:  http://i.imgur.com/OPS9O9q.jpg
A side profile: http://i.imgur.com/AUnfJo5.jpg
B side profile: http://i.imgur.com/pyulYmX.jpg
C side profile: http://i.imgur.com/K7OrMUL.jpg
Bottom sides: http://i.imgur.com/ahRRozQ.jpg
With vinyl feet: http://i.imgur.com/hfYx1p7.jpg
B notes - slight burning: http://i.imgur.com/hQJEyna.jpg
C notes - scarring: http://i.imgur.com/5doSfHr.jpg

If you're interested in such things - what type of mech you have and what shape of wooden wrist rest interests you.

This sort of info will help me make them for the community.

Thanks,

You might want to put this in “making stuff together” or “keyboards” instead of “ergonomics”. Also, you might want to embed images directly in your post, like:

Anyway, I’m not looking for a palmrest, but these look great. :)

As Jacobolus has suggested, I've moved the thread.  Hope you don't mind, besides I think you'll get a better reception here.

By the way, have you seen The_Beast’s stuff? https://geekhack.org/index.php?board=127.0

You might find some ideas there.

I have seen his stuff, and it is very very very good.  As his were all sold out that I thought it would be ok to post my own.

I should probably contact him to make sure I'm not stepping on his toes.

If you want to sell them right now, you can make a webstore on bigcartel.

I post my stuff over on reddit at the mechmarket - while I intend to make geekhack my permanent home.

Thanks for your suggestion though!  And, btw, ergodox clear?  I'm super jelly of that!

Yeah, I bought it with clears, and you can open the switches still from the top even though they are plate mount, so I just swapped springs.
