I trust you know that Ergodox is worth far more than a standard tenkeyless?

Hi ShriekBob,

That is indeed quite tempting. :-) Why/In what sense do you find it limiting?

I do indeed know that the  Ergo is worth more than a standard tenkeyless, but I'd like it to go to a good home that will love it and take care of it, I've had a good year out of it, and tbh they seem to be dropping in price quite a lot lately.  Though I will admit that I haven't seen any with MX Green switches before.  If someone wants to make up the difference I won't complain ;)

As for the limitations I describe.  I spend my days programming, at work in C++, and at home in Ruby/Clojure/Java depending on the project.  I've found I don't like switching layers to get access to the various symbols I need, and there just isn't enough keys.  I think I'd be happier with something a bit more generic.

I don't understand. This is one of the most fantastic deals I've seen so far, and nobody wants to take it up! I would happily buy your ergodox if I had rubber thumbs (or bigger hands).

That said, I am a big fan of the Tipro 128/ Cherry PC128BM. I have a split layout on mine, and it has 128 keys (fully programmable). I have many macro keys dedicated on mine.

Methinks it beats Ergodox 10x over, and these are apparently cheap in the UK. Probably you can get for 30 pounds shipped.

(Typed on my modded 128 with jailhouse ghetto greens.)
