It is just crap. It is not an opinion, just pointing a fact.
Many people have pointed out similar 'facts' in the past, after which some geek went on to bid a huge sum of money to purchase the item in question.
I have learned not to oppose the subjective valuations of geeks.
Of course, there is always people that like to spend their money in crap, that does not change the basic nature of it.
But would the Antikythera mechanism have been 'crap'?
I read somewhere that some people think it worth more than the Mona Lisa. And I agree! It is an awesome work by a geek who lived 3000 years ago!!!
If I were as rich as Bill Gates I would certainly buy that thing, and be willing to spend 100m on it. (I admit I won't even spend $200 on a Kishsaver.)
So maybe some geek finds this weird mechanism thing on ebay his Antikythera mechanism.
