Pretty backlit Keycool Numpad… check out the shipping!
« on: Sun, 25 January 2015, 13:02:45 »

I was doing my regular window shopping when I came across this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Keycool-22-Key-Keypad-White-LED-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard-Blue-Kaihua-Kailh-/221672439045?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item339cb4fd05

22 key keycool numpad, backlit! Nice!

Then I saw the shipping.

I didn’t realize that keycool uses lead and depleted uranium plates in its keyboards, but I guess you’re looking at one very, very awesomely heavy numpad…

I brought this in MD before, Kailh Brown. I didn't know the uranium plate?  I just need backlit when surfing with lights off  ;D

I see $43 shipping to Australia.

What are you guys seeing?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
