Info on custom plates cases and caps needed
« on: Thu, 29 January 2015, 18:07:53 »
In short, A big edits needed here so ill just rephrase.

I'm taking a class where I get to build what ever I want with a plasma cam, makerbot replicator 2x and a cnc. Because of my interest in mechanical keyboards I choose to make a ton of cases and caps etc.

One of the first things I want to do is make some alps plates so any advice would be appreciated.

second switch type from the left is alps compatible, though stabs will end up being MX type I believe.

with a 3mm cut it would be kinda hard to use the 2nd one. Plus I need to be able to model the plate in a cad program myself.

Im really glad the kerf on the plasma cam was actually 60 thousandths of an inch instead of 3mm. This makes alot of new options available
