GON's Nerd V60 2.0 Bluetooth problem
« on: Fri, 30 January 2015, 03:15:16 »
Hello guys. I recently built myself this keyboard and it works like a charm over the USB. Unfortunately there is absolutely no docs for the bluetooth option and GON is not replying to my messages so I decided to ask around here. Maybe you have some experience with his bluetooth option.
So there are 2 keycodes you can program into firmware: BT Connect and BT Toggle. Do you know what each of this does?
With some luck after clicking around connect and toggle buttons I can get it to connect to my Mac (had no luck with Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu 14.04). I can even type wirelessly for about 5 seconds but then it disconnects. I checked system log in OS X and there are entries saying: bluetooth handshake failed. This all smells fishy to me. Was this actually tested before putting on market? I do understand it's a hacky custom keyboard, but it's sold for a real life money (and not small amounts) so I expect it to work. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Oh and of course I have the latest firmware available on GON's site.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

You hit the Toggle key to turn on Bluetooth, search for Bluetooth connections, and then hit Connect to connect to one.

I'm not sure why yours isn't working right, but I know other people have got theirs working. Sorry I couldn't help more.
