I guess keycool have decided that premium keycaps are more important than premium switches... And i kinda agree.

Well at least they are having detachable cables again. The 87 with a non-removable one is a pain in the ass. Looks good to me!
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Yes, cherry switch is decent, but too hard to get for manufacturers like keycool..
Anyway, kailh switches, after many keyboards sold in china market,  they may get more acceptance and improvements from customer experiences.  Goood to have again the 84 layout... :)

With the wider exposure to Kailh switches, I suspect they either will get better very quickly, or have already improved in quality resulting in selection by some major keyboard manufacturers (e.g. Razer, Keycool).
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
