Question regarding Leopold FC700R Graphite Housing
« on: Thu, 12 February 2015, 15:16:06 »
Hey Guys,

can anyone tell me whether the graphite housing fc700R is any different in terms of color to the black version?
i know the question sounds quite stupid but i couldnt tell just by pictures if the housing itself isnt any different to the black housing version.

it feels like the keycaps kind of lighten the board such as it seem to be lighter overall but i might be wrong and i cant tell. the same happened to me when i saw the navy blue fc750r the first time when i realized the housing is actually black and only the keycaps are navy.

can anyone help me out with this?

thanks !

Yes, the case is a dark grey. It's not black.

The Black looks black. The graphite looks dark grey. You tell me if its worth it to have it in a different color.

If you have the nostalgia theme on geekhack. The background is black. The buttons which say "notify" or "watch" are a similar dark grey to the graphite. It's noticeable enough that you won't mistake one color for another. I am unable to tell you how you perceive colors.

Wow, that's interesting.  I always thought the graphite FC700R was a black case with dark gray keycaps.

Unless my FC700R was an earlier rev and they've sinced changed things, mine has the graphite color on the body and on the caps.

Mine was the same and all the pictures I've seen of it floating around are dark grey for both.
