Hey, I want a recount.

And here I was, with the same, or a similar, joke in first! To be serious, I too do congratulate Kyamei.

Irradiation however severe could not rid the discoloring of some of the boards I have!

So what did I win from the guess the keys contest?

An awesome custom sculpted keycap courtesy of clickclack :hail:

Looks great on my Filco :thumb:

The cap itself is quite high quality, nicely textured plastic unlike the cheapo plastic of the red Filco key that came with the board.

This will probably find its way onto my n52 when I get around to attempting Ripster's mod.

Thanks a bunch clickclack!

Holy carp! I demand a recount.
That's awesome.
Might be even more appropriate for the evil CapsLock key - it could have glowing eyes.

I have found some interesting chemical stains though (not just yellowing) that when scratched at and dug out were still there! YIKES! haahaa

You are very welcome, and thank you for the kind words :)

The keycap has no coating and is dyed/pigmented throughout, so the color wont wear away even if scratched. I also have a variety of other colors I can use and create. I am also working on other sculpts and even plain keycaps that are colored. I am having fun at the moment with some ideas while working on other things but if interest continues who knows...

thanks :)   (your avatar wigs me out btw! haahaa)
I actually am working on a key that when used in with a deck board (backlit cherry boards) the eyes would lite up! But I must admit that it has been a pain to make, so I might not pursue it further.

I believe I am able to manufacture these things (custum key sculpts "skull caps") for a variety of keys cap types. BS (key cap single and dual piece) Cherry, ALPS, rubber dome (more of a pain since there are so many), Topre (if I can get a key cap for their boards as a reference)....

I will hopefully post some pics soon (more computer problems... as in- I am borrowing a computer atm)

Oh, the F and J key nub possibilities.  The nubile, nubby, nubbly, nubs are waiting for a new way to express themselves!

I have been thinking about that for a little while and I have some interesting ideas and thoughts, but we shall see....

Yikes more boards! I keep forgetting to change my sig!

I have some pics of the "Skull Caps" finally. These are pics of the same one I sent out as the prize. :)
I have a bunch more concepts and ideas but I am still testing many of them, so in the mean time I am just gathering more of this particular Skull Caps prototype.

A Scorpius M10 indeed! I have alot to say about that keyboard, good and bad, So I think I will write a review

Nice red.  I hear he pricks his finger and colors it with blood.
When he dies part of his soul will be in the keyboard. I think Harry Potter fans call it a Horcrux.

Well that would be the ultimate board chow horror show wouldn't it? :(

What is in the villages....

no kidding hahaaa, fortunately or unfortunately I would be the only one making them unless I hire some of my students (haaaha that would be great, here is an "A" if you cast 30 of em...)

Just hit my "over 600" mark for sorting the keybaords. I have a bunch more, but that is all I have sorted thus far....PHEEEWWW! (wipes bead of sweat from forehead)

To celebrate I think I will have another contest with a prize to be had, hmmmm... which pics will I use for this one...?

I think i will show the keys this time (not that it would be any easier to guess...MUUUAHAHAAAA...).

I will probably start a new thread for it though.

Wow, what is your source of keyboards?

You mentioned that you are having computer trouble. If you happen to live in San Diego, I would be willing trade you a good computer for a few keyboards.
Notable Switches I have tried:
black cherry, blue cherry, brown cherry, clear cherry, cherry M84, white alps, black alps, cream alps, Monterey blue alps, Fujitsu Peerless, Gateway2000 rubber dome, Keytronic rubber dome, Model M buckling spring, Model F buckling spring, futaba, black space invader
