« on: Tue, 17 February 2015, 06:34:17 »
This keyboard found here

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=201282132667

Desko MOS 4212 UP Magnetic USB Keyboard w/ Card Reader

Is the keyboard mx cherry? And if so are those caps cherry profile? Interested in those modifiers.

Here is another similar board with some keys removed.

I'm not going to pretend I know what switch type it is, but it doesn't look like Cherry compatible.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Yes, those are Cherry MX compatible caps and very nice.

The switches in the board that katushkin posted are Cherry MY as found in G81 keyboards and they have MX compatible caps.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Found an article on it.

I think it said it may have Browns. Also found a post that someone said the caps are pad printed. I hope not :/ I am specifically going for the 1.75 green shift. As my current desko set needs that size. I am hoping that green one matches the current set I have.

They have MX brown or sometimes black, with 2KRO only. Keycaps are the cheapest of the cheap type of OEM profile thin crappy abs pad printed. They won't be a good match with Cherry/BSP keycap at all.

Bah.. Guess Ill stick to my pbt oem mods for now then. Thought these where cherry profile. I have the nice Desko thick cherry profile set but need that stupid 1.75 mod. I don't like mixing OEM with low profile cherry. /sigh
