Has anyone ever seen an NIB 122-key Model F?

Does anyone know if the 122-key Model F ever came new in a box like the Model M? I've never seen one and was wondering.

I saw that one when it was posted in great finds. It doesn't look NIB to me, though. The box doesn't look IBM issued, either.

Still surprised that it did not go for more.

I would have expected that the relationship between "New-In-Box" prices and "excellent condition" prices would be much farther apart on ancient gear like that.

There were millions of Model Ms built over the course of decades, for a commercial/industrial customer base, so it stands to reason that there would be lots of them left over. But Model Fs came as part of a complete system, so obviously they are more rare.

Yeah I was gonna say that - does the fact that they're, you know, TERMINAL keyboards not more or less exclude them from being NIB expect if the whole terminal was NIB?
