New here
« on: Wed, 25 February 2015, 17:16:22 »
Hello all,
I've been reading through various threads for a while and just recently joined a group buy for the hyper fuse key set (which will be my first key set). I decided now was probably a good time to join the geek hack community as well. A little over a year ago I got into the mechanical keyboard lifestyle  with the Ducky shine 3 decked out in white leds and mx browns. Recently I picked up the Novatouch and am currently deciding on whether I like it or not lol. Anyways I just wanted to make a quick intro and say high.

Welcome! Nice grab on Hyper Fuse (My second favorite set behind Toxic) and the Novatouch. (I'd comment on the ducky, but brown switches and I are enemies)

Searching for the Toxic set is what lead me to geek hack, that set is amazing. I love the beaker keys, excellent little detail.

That set is the reason I joined the site. I love bright/neon colors, and that was the first set the caught my attention, followed by Miami. I've been waiting ~2.5 years for the toxic set to come to fruition and it finally showed up at my door today!

Welcome to Geekhack!

Toxic is an epic set - I'm hoping mine will arrive in the new few weeks.  If you're looking for a set of those, camp out in Classifieds - you might get lucky.

Otherwise Hyperfuse is also very popular.  That's the current GMK GB, right?  Very nice keycaps from GMK, generally :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
