PBT key options would be cool or maybe a 60% board.

I'm going with they're finally getting higher quality caps than the junk they've been using.  I know they've been looking for something for a while.  Now that QWERkeys is no longer around in the form it used to be, they'll be working with Devlin.  While thinner than GMK, they're thicker than SP and not bad feeling.

They should offer bring-your-own cap printing services-- order a bunch of cheap DSA or SA blanks or a Matias blank cap set to cover your particular obsession, and have WASD do a professional lettering job on it.

Setup would probably be too difficult.  I'm sure they have their trays customized for their caps.

They will probably announce a new keyboard, maybe a 60% keyboard? This appears to be BIG announcement.

Yeah I'm going to go with a 60% or new keys but a 60% doesn't really feel like a BIG announcement, they've announced new boards before with much less fanfare. Feels like double-shot keys to me, considering that is a pretty big part of their business I'd say it is more likely that they're upgrading their line.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

On a more hopeful note, maybe they got a dyesub printer and PBT caps? That would be awesome.

It seems to be Cherry MX related.

I hope they're announcing thick PBT keycaps.
Could be a 60% though.

Or QWER to get on the MOBA train
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

#1 complaint is their ABS keycaps, so I guess they might add the option to buy some.
Hopefully they won't sell ABS anymore, or double shots.

ABS is fine.  In fact, ABS can be great, just the thin and flexible **** they call caps are terrible and they know it.

If Gaterons are an option I'm all for it!

Likely candidate will be PBT keycaps.  I can't see them taking on another board (60%) when they can barely keep what they sell in stock.

I remember asking them at the end of November 2014 if they are going to do PBT in a near future and the person told me that:

It is something we are looking into offering but at this time we don’t have any more details or information.

Perhaps they have more information now and that's what it is all about.

Maybe they will take the "barebones" option one step further an offer a cheaper option "naked" that has no keycaps AND no switches.

If switches are hard for their particular factory to acquire this is another way to move product.

Why are you guys so hyped for PBT?
I would like it if they got dye sub printers to use over their UV printing. AFAIK you can still use dye sublimation on ABS.
That being said, I have no idea what the quality of WASD caps is.

PBT = doesn't automatically mean GOOD.  I much prefer smoother PBT like on the Leopold compared to sandy/grainy KBC.

It's not about the shine. It's about the feel. Even from brand new they feel awful.

When I put my Nuclear set on my WASD after 6 months of using my stock caps, I wondered why I had ever bothered buying a set from them in the first place.

WASD doesn't seem to get many shipments of keyboard; and when they do they are sold out quickly.

I don't think they have the bandwidth for anything else.
