Kinesis gaming keyboard?
« on: Tue, 17 March 2015, 14:56:43 »
Hey guys,

We are currently evaluating whether to introduce an ergonomic keyboard specifically designed for the gaming market. We've put together a brief survey (25 questions) and we'd like to get input from you guys specifically on features and specs so that we can design something that really resonates with gamers and keyboard enthusiasts. Our goal is to develop a keyboard that offers class leading performance and customization and allows gamers to play for longer and without pain.

If you're interested in helping us out, please check out the survey here:

As for our ergonomic Advantage keyboard, as many of you know we're stilling working on that as well (see this thread).

Mods, I'm not 100% positive this is the correct forum to place this in, if it needs to be redirected just let me know!

Responded. It's a good idea; I hate standard keyboards for gaming because WASD requires odd finger twisting, but every ergonomic keyboard ever splits the number row badly , chopping up my hotbar, and has space uselessly on the right side where I can't reach it. (Also column stagger makes WASD awkward, and no, I'm not going to switch to ESDF when the remapping involved is a pain in the neck and can't always be done in older games. :P )

Sent some feedback.

Don't feel locked into Cherry MX.  Matias Red Alps and Gateron Reds/Blacks are fantastic - don't discount them!

Submitted a form. Agree with the point about not being locked into Cherry MX. Maybe Topre with MX stems?
