Custom Plate
« on: Tue, 24 March 2015, 11:03:34 »
I was wondering where I could get a custom plate for my Poker. The stock one is fine, but I would really love something that allows switch top swapping. I'm trying to pull together a bunch of different things for the next time I tear down the board, and this is something I've been having trouble finding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You should look into the swill plate building tool right there : https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=65189.0

It allows you to create plate for your layout with the switch cut-out you want.

Wow, that's a great tool! A couple of quick questions about it though. For a plate that is Poker 2 case compatible, what would be the optimal values for the radius of the corner rounding and and the thickness? Also, I'm really not sure what the Kerf value is. Would you be able to explain that any?

You should ask in Swill's thread.  Also, aren't there poker compatible plates available for sale at retail?  I thought mk was selling those or something

As far as I know, mechanicalkeyboards.com (if that's what you were referring to with mk) only sells cases, not plates. Also, I'll ask in the other thread too.
