That's kinda ouch

I usually photograph packages before and during opening, but so far maybe I've been lucky and everything (including keyboards) has arrived safely.

I'm starting to wonder if shipping in trays is even a good idea at all

All of my keycaps that have come in ziplock bags have been 100% fine as they are pretty rigid and can't really move at all

They increase shipping costs, if it gets bent too far in the middle the space bar could crack.  The above could happen.  Doesn't fit with my keycap storage arrangements.

All in all I'd prefer a ziplock back or similar, or even a small plastic box like Tai Hao keycaps sometimes come in.

Eastern Market?

Not that far east, closer to Federal Center SW/Waterfront  :)
Erm, I read that as SE for some reason. Probably because SW is so small, haha.

Stadium area. I like it there, did a lot of work with the Nats earlier this year, got to know it well. Cool area!

Did I miss something, are my eyes failing, or are the alphas a darker colour than the modifiers?

They are. I was in the minority but I always said we should have matched the alphas legends to the mods.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Thanks guys :)

The underneath shots make it pretty obvious, but in the top shots it's not as exaggerated.  Could be a good thing :)

IIRC, the reasoning was that the mods faded more than the alpha legends did, but they started out as the same colour when new.

That I do understand :)

But to authentically replicate that would require a lighter colour for the top of the keycaps and a darker colour underneath, which would be nearly impossible for GMK to do, and pretty pointless anyway, apart from sating the desires of a few purists.

Yes the alphas are much bluer, and that was on purpose, because that's how all the old pics show them. It's true of my authentic set as well. It's a great contrast with the mods - glad we did it this way
