Finally got to posting
« on: Tue, 07 April 2015, 04:04:11 »
Hey all

I initially made an account to message with one of the members here for some questions, but now I have felt the need to integrate.

At the moment I own 2 mechanical keyboards:
  • Leopold FC660M - MX clears
  • Ducky shine mini - MX blues

I guess I'll make a review of the FC660M soon (already did one on reddit, going to port it here).

EEDIT:

Anyhow, I'm a 24 year old IT student from Belgium. Few months ago a friend lured me into the mechanical keyboard world (many thanks for that!) and got me to purchase the Leopold. While waiting for the drop to end on massdrop (took like 2 months..) I bought a ducky shine mini as a replacement. I'm taking that one to my internship right now. The MX blues aren't bothering anyone as far as I know.

So that's me in a nutshell.

Welcome to Geekhack!

A nice couple of keyboards you have :)

Massdrop, and most group buys, do take a little while to produce - it's not like a warehouse just sending stuff out as it orders.  Provided you're ok with that, we'll probably be seeing you in some more group buys :)

They don't call this place Wallethack for nothing :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
