Huh, that's pretty interesting. I wonder if it has any more history.

Description says it is an ESM console. ESM stands for Electronic Support Measures, which usually involves detection of enemy *stuff*, be it vessels, aircraft, missiles, etc.

A frigate is actually considerably smaller than a battleship.

This would go well with the B-52 control keyboards somebody bought here a year or 2 ago.
Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

At this size, the keyboard *becomes* the desk.

Has anybody here ever considered building a keyboard countersunk so that the top plate is just the surface of the desk? I guess the ergonomics might be a bit questionable...

Sounds like a Melvang project and/or badwrench.

What in blue **** is this thing?! xD

It genuinely looks like an actual desk with buttons fitted in.
Check my keyboard video reviews:

That thing is glorious.  Sadly, it's only 38 inches long.  The photo makes it seem like it should be 5 feet long.   It needs to be refinished in battleship gray, upgraded with multiple USB hubs, and outiftted with several batteries of USB rocket launchers.

That looks a lot like I am wanting to build my GH122.

ever considered building a keyboard countersunk

I have wanted to do this for at least a decade.  Since my desks are all either company property or already-built, I haven't done.  When I do, the trackball will be sunk flush to the desk also.
