Free Comic Book Day
« on: Sat, 02 May 2015, 19:28:06 »
Who went somewhere for free comic book day?

My partner got to meet Noelle Stephenson (Nimona, Lumberjanes)! I am mad jealous, but still got to go out and support my local and picked up the start of a new series called Kaptara.

Also got the first few volumes of East of West. Haven't read any yet.

East of west is sooo good. You'll love it. I didn't go out, no shops near me. I've heard great things about Lumberjanes, I may pick up the first trade soon.

So you just go in and they give out free comic books? Nice. The only shop I know of is meltdown comics but I can't stand Chris hardwick.

In Baltimore they've been celebrating free every thing week.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

Sadly the first trade only has the first half of the first story arc. But it's great all the same. Issue #13 was the sweetest thing I've read in a while. I also picked up Giant Days #2 and Fables v21 from my subscriptions.
