@engicoder

If Engicoder can figure out how to make this run, I would love to hear how he does it because I have a somewhat similar one.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

I almost bought this when it was on eBay. It's too bad about the unusable terminal interface. Linear space invaders in a nice compact layout (unfortunate bottom row aside) would be fantastic.

I've got one of those 11800s. They are pretty awesome and work great as a work keyboard. I've been meaning to find time to convert the Mouse/keyboard PS2 connection to USB.

What are you planning to do with it if you find one?

I'd actually love to use it at work! I have a small station with a monitor and a docked laptop that would benefit from a integrated keyboard (the docking station even has ps/2 ports), rather than my realforce and large trackball  :))

I mostly want to try the older "vintage" mx browns with thick pbt cherry caps :)

Maybe I can share some of my findings

The thick PBT keycaps aren't as thick as you would imagine. The alphas and numerics are your regular thin Cherry caps, only the 2+ unit keycaps are thick.

The switches feel nice. I would describe them as more bouncy than regular Cherry MX Browns. However, I can't say for sure if that's because the spring has gotten more elastic over time, or if it is because it is PCB mount and the Cherry PCB is fairly thin, and I'm actually just pushing the PCB down, and it's assisting in pushing things back up.

The trackball is pretty cool, though you may need to adjust its sensitivity. I wish it could be larger.

Overall, I like how the keyboard case is put together with screws instead of clips, it makes it feel more secure. I did notice that none of the switches have diodes in them, so this keyboard is probably 2KRO at most.
