It all started when thebeargentile sold me a Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja w/ MX browns 3 months ago. I had thought that I'd done my research well, that I would be satisfied with MX browns and the build quality of the Filco, and that LCtrl should not be where Capslock is...

I was wrong.

Fast forward to present time, I'm typing this on a Ducky Shine 3 w/ MX Greens (temporarily while I give my ES-87 w/ Clears a break), having just sold most of my other keyboards, and gathering up the funds for a custom keyboard. Why? Because I saw the GON NerD kit on Massdrop and knew that I had to be a part of something like it.

So now I have this: http://puu.sh/ihGHU/381b25fbc4.png

And I'm playing the waiting game while I absorb as much info as I can on various forums.

Welcome to GeekHack!

I'd tell you about WalletHack but I think you've got that part covered already.

Happy Keyboarding! :thumb:

Welcome to Geekhack!

So you're a fan of stiffer switches, and like to spend money.

You'll fit in very well around here :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Ahaha, thanks for the support. Happy to be here.

From justifying spending $105 on a Filco MJ2 Ninja w/ MX browns to building a B.87, and now starting a potential group buy w/ parts for a B.face and B.mini coming in the mail soon... it's been one hell of a ride. And the ride doesn't stop.
