Poker II: I keep accidentally reprogramming keys
« on: Thu, 11 June 2015, 09:49:04 »
So, I keep accidentally reprogramming the WASD keys on my Poker II to their respective arrow key functions. I assume at some point during my normal banging away on the keyboard I am accidentally locking the Fn toggle and then unintentionally putting the board into programming mode when I hit the right ctrl key (which i use a lot). I know a permanent solution is for me to just stop hitting the wrong keys  ;D. In the meantime, my issue is that I cannot figure out how to reprogram the WASD keys to their original function. I have tried following the instructions for programming a key, but the problem is that the WASD keys emit their respective arrow key function whether or not I am pressing the Fn key, so I can never get back to the actual WASD values. So, I have to reset the keyboard.  Is there a way to get the letters back without resetting the board? Thanks.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally hit fn+space?  :))

That's a possibility too... i don't really know what I'm doing.  But I do it pretty consistently... about once a day or so.

fn+space toggles the WASD keys to act as arrow keys.

Ok, i just read the manual to see what fn + space does, and that's exactly what I'm doing. I was so hung up on it being a programming issue that I didn't read down further in the manual. Thanks for the help! I'm going to go hide in shame now.  :(

No need to feel ashamed, before I knew what I was doing I would unplug+replug my keyboard to reset the behavior  :))

that's been my daily routine! and it also explains why resetting the board was not sufficient
