The Devil's Backbone is fantastic.  Personally, I love suspense/thriller movies rather than gory horror. 

As for the Twilight Zone, I remember liking The Masks and who could forget The Eye of the Beholder and The Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, probably two of the most classic episodes.

Never heard of Devil's Backbone, definately will check it out.

Cutting Cards episode is not really horror, more like suspense with little bit of gore at the end.

A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Hostel, Halloween, Halloween II, The Devils Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, Cabin In The Woods, The Thing, The Descent, Hannibal, Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Alien, Aliens, Predator, You're Next, The Shining, House of Wax.

Got to finish watching Cabin In The Woods, only watched like the first 20 minutes.

Japanese horrors are pretty good like Kairo, One Missed Call, and Sabeki.
