"The old Republican Party was a stool with three legs: social conservatism, economic conservatism and national security conservatism.
So too is the MAGA Republican Party. One of those legs is the nativist extremism of Stephen Miller. The second is the anti-government extremism of Russell Vought.
And the last is the open, flamboyant corruption of Donald Trump — a corruption that degrades a people’s faith in government and makes it all the easier to remake the state in the image of a single man.

I don't like buying eBay cables because I don't know what brand they are.  :))

I have bought a lot of cheap crap cables like this on ebay, and I assume that 10%+ of them will not be good, but the prices are so cheap that I figure I still come out ahead.

The exception is flash drives, I have bought at least a dozen off ebay and the majority of them were no good.

For those, I buy Kingston, Toshiba, and MicroCenter house brand. My daughter has a 5-year-old Kingston that has been through the washer and dryer at least twice and still works perfectly!

Yep - a few years ago I bought a 128GB flash drive off eBay for $30. I should have known better. It crapped out after a few months of light use. Meanwhile, my old SanDisk Cruzer from like 2008 is still going strong, even after years of being thrown around on my keychain.

A USB cable isn't worth more than a few pennies.
The markup,  shipping and handling on  these is obscene.

I simply cannot  justify more than about 10 shipped for a braided cable.

The vendors here regularly top $50 for a USB cable

There are easier ways of erasing a flash drive ;) :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Those are handdone, though. That's a totally different thing.
