Can't reprogram my GH60
« on: Thu, 06 August 2015, 12:55:46 »
Hi guys.

I feel like a retard this past week, because a few months ago I upgraded my entire PC but I forgot how I got the drivers for my board.

It's a GH60 Rev_CHN to be exact.

I have managed to install the drivers properly (ATMEGA32U4 shows up in device manager), but every single time the bootloader can't be found.

I'm completely stumped and I feel that I have missed a step or took a few things for granted with my old PC.

Any insight?

Did you install Atmel FLIP? What device does it show when you jump into boot loader mode while it's connected to your PC?

Atmel FLIP installed.

Does the device appear to change after you press the button to jump into bootloader?

Oh, do you have WinAVR installed?

IS WinAVR necessary? I'll install that now...

I had a similar problem where it would stop at "waiting for bootloader...." stage.
What needed to be done was update the driver of ATm32U4DFU device to a WinUSB version by using Zadig which shipped with the latest version of tkg-toolkit.

After that the firmware flashed without issues.

Tried installing Zadig by itself, still no dice.

What do you see when you have zadig running and have the keyboard plugged in and pressed the firmware button?
