Lubing an HHKB

Soooo... I'm going to be opening up my HHKB to do some lubing on the stems as they're starting to feel a bit scratchy. I kind of know where to put the lube, but can you guys help me figure out what consistency of lube I should use?

I got the Geekhackers lube kit that came with the (1) super runny, looks like water, lube (2) somewhat thick, but also still quite runny, looks like milk, lube and (3) super thick, doesn't really run, looks like glue, lube. Which one should I be using for the stems? Am I right that it should be number 2?

That is the only place you should lube them to keep from making a terrible mess. Use a mixture of 205 grease and maybe 103 GPL, 50/50 mix. You can use a q-tip to spread it inside the corner nice and evenly.



Air tree: I do think just a thicker lube is fine, mixtures is what bro recommends, but I have heard people have great results with just a thick lube.


CTRL alt will have some lube up on their store once it launches, so it might have the ideal lube you might want.
