Matias Quiet Click v Alps Cream

Can anyone who's used both of these comment on a comparison between the two? I'm getting an Infinity keyboard in soon with Matias Quiet Click that I was intending on desoldering and switching to Vintage Damped Cream Alps, but if they're quite similar, I might just save myself the hassle and stick with the Matias. Any thoughts on these two?

I can't seem to find a proper comparison on google, aside from the fact that Matias Quiet Click's are a clone combination of Alps SKCM Black and the dampeners off of the Cream. And youtube sound comparisons are useless, cause there's no 1 video comparing the two, and comparing across two different videos is difficult cause the sound isn't normalized.

I have only compared cream and white dampened in the same kind of board, and they are quite similar, but I'd say the cream is a tad smoother. In my test plate of different alps switches I have a Quiet Click, new, and a cream alps, also new, and I'd say they are way more different in feel than between white and cream. After the bump in the quiet, there is like a smaller bump that is not present in the alps. It's not as smooth. But that's my limited experience. I believe cptbadass could tell you quite a bit more

Ah, I'd say the Quiet is a bit more quiet. Less sound from the metal parts inside, in mine at least.

depends on the condition of the creams. I like to swap the tactile leaf and spring with ones from a new matias switch.

I have only used the matias quiet once for a few seconds and it didn't feel very nice to me. Something was awkward about it. Must have been that second bump you have mentioned.

That said, the Matias is probably the way to go in a work environment.

If you want to really enjoy something that came out of an old Apple keyboard, put them into a Dell AT101 chassis. And use as many of the Apple caps as you can, too.

Exactly these three things stood out most for me.

The problem I have with comparing new Matias switches with vintage Alps is that it is hard to find vintage Alps in solid condition.  When I used to buy vintage Alps, they always were at least a few switches that were broken, scratchy, dirty, fickle, or whatever else happens with age. So found it hard to find something in good condition that would offer a fair comparison.
