New-ish here.
« on: Thu, 17 September 2015, 22:48:23 »
I've lurked here before and I created my account a few weeks ago to post some questions before buying my first keycap set.

Well.. I've had my Filco TKL for about 4 years now but I never thought seriously about custom keycaps until recently. I saw a Dolch set and I just had to have it.
Sooo.. I jumped on Originative's GMK Dolch set on MD and also bought the red GMK Esc from Originative's store.

Anyways.. I'll be looking around here to decide on my next keyboard. I'm looking for a TKL+WKL keyboard but I'm not sure what to get.
Any suggestions?

Also.. is there a place here where people post pictures of their keyboards?

Check out the geekhack media board, there's all sorts of threads there for posting pictures of different keyboard related things. I'm sure you can find at least two threads appropriate for posting your board in. And welcome! You've already got a good taste in boards and caps.

Thanks =D

I'm starting to feel more and more impulsive about buying more keysets when I've only one keyboard.. I just jumped on the Danger Zone SA kit...
Uh ohs..

That happens... it's a nice looking set though, and not that expensive. I don't think you've made a mistake!

Welcome to Geekhack!

WKL boards are generally Korean keyboards, and some of those can be quite expensive.

A good place to start looking is the post your Korean keyboard section.

Assuming WKL = winkeyless ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
