This is an interest check for DSA RGBYO(Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and Orange) mods, to match your DSA Dolch set.

The legends will be in white(WFK). All keys will use doubleshot Signature Plastics ABS, the same material DSA Dolch uses.

The standard kit will include the following keys:

1.25u Red(RA) Ctrl key x2
1.25u Yellow(YY) Win key x2
1.25u Blue(BFK) Alt key x2
1.75u Green(VCS) Shift key x1
2.25u Green(VCS) Shift key x1
2.75u Green(VCS) Shift key x1
1.25u Orange(OBC) Menu key x1
1.25u Orange(OBC) Fn key x1

The Winkeyless kit will include the following keys:

1.5u Red(RA) Ctrl key x2
1u Yellow(YY) Win key x2
1.5u Blue(BFK) Alt key x2
1.75u Green(VCS) Shift key x1
2.25u Green(VCS) Shift key x1
2.75u Green(VCS) Shift key x1

If there is enough interest for a DSA CMYW, I wouldn't mind adding that. If you are interested in it, please fill out the Google Form. definitely enough interest, just trying to decide on the proper colors.

I am still deciding on colors for DSA CMYW, however I will attempt to get it as close to GMK's colors as possible.

DSA Dolch comes with a RA/WFK Esc key included. A WASD/Gamer kit has already been made, but it doesn't have a RA/WFK set.

Also, would anybody be interested in doubleshot windowed caps/scroll/num locks? The ones from the keyshop aren't labeled, they're blank.

yes, the standard kit will work on a tkl, assuming that it has a standard bottom row

Yeah, but the color options are limited there (I think maybe influenced by what buys are actually set up otherwise). None of the colors you mention for the RGBYO set are available and I don't know what you've chosen for CMYW but I imagine it would be even harder to get.

Fair point that most want legends I guess.

I was gonna link that until I remembered this IC is for white legends. I would like white legends as well for if and when I ever get a DSA set with white legends. Plus I have that white-on-red Return and it'd look weird with black-legend mods.

Definitely still interested in this, even though I too no longer own any DSA sets. I have Granite on the way, though, and it couldn't hurt to have more mod sets to be future-proof.

As far as I know, SP doesn't have a magenta, so CMYW wouldn't be an option, unless we get them to make a magenta. I'm sure if there's enough interest, they'd be willing to do it, considering they spent a couple grand on R4 shifts.

As far as cyan and yellow, I'd say BFN and YY.

I'd love to see SP make a magenta though, some DSA CMYW/k caps would be so rad

CMYK > CMYW. There aren't many DSA sets I can think of that would go well with white legends, since most sets have black legends

As MOBA game starting to arise (DotA, LoL) I think gamer kit must include QWER even QWERDF or even better, Colemak and Dvorak additional too QWFPST and ;,.PEU.

I know in DSA this can easily solved with blank colored 1u from PMK but.... you know

I feel that BBJ makes for a better pure cyan. BBQ has just a touch too much green in it (it is more of an aquamarine than pure cyan).

I also think we missed a great opportunity to provide orange arrow keys with this, but maybe next time. :-)

if sp does ever get a magenta then this would probably be the color scheme we use, although i think it should have win keys and fn/menu keys as well.

It's really hard to tell the different cyan shades apart, especially because the colours are different depending on the camera, etc. I also don't own the GMK CMY set so I don't have anything in person to compare them to.

Srry double post. Here's the mockup with BBJ instead of BBQ.

Also, I emailed the sales rep (Melissa) for Signature Plastics and got some interesting information.

Here's what she told me:

"I am not familiar with the GMK magenta color - we would need a sample to send for matching to our suppliers. While it is not difficult, we have a minimum buy of $700 of material."

So if we could round up $700 bucks worth of interest in these mods maybe a Massdrop sale would be the best route? Especially considering the recent group buy fiascos.

This looks really interesting, would love some 1u Alt keys and a 1,75u Ctrl key for my Cherry HHKB but that would probably not happen since I don't expect a lot of people interested in that but would love it if it where to happen :3

that is just the material cost, so the kit would probably be a bit more

Another interesting bit of information Melissa from SP told me is that sublimated sets need to be all PBT and doubleshot sets need to be all ABS.

That would mean this mod set would have to be doubleshot ABS if it uses the colours in the picture above. That works fine if it's a CMYW set to go with DSA Dolch, but is a different material and type of legends than Granite which is sublimated PBT.

I personally don't notice the difference in material - I have the Mario/Luigi/Wario doubleshot ABS keycaps on my Granite set (don't judge me).

Set pricing for the set would be:
25 sets - $38.29 per set
50 sets - $25.38 per set
75 sets - $21.08 per set

Prices don't include shipping. Manufacturing lead time is currently 8 weeks.
