huh apparently there are going to be some new rules in this sale? did you guys see that too?
apparently going to enforce some type of rule where you need a specific account age and a minimum post requirement.
that's going to suck for a lot of you
Nope, didn't see this.
I doubt that'd actually happen. I can't tell if Beehatch is being sarcastic because of the begging or not, but in reality that would cut into a huge chunk of potential sales.
Even with a post count requirement, Booper would still sell out of the caps.
Without a doubt but just from a marketing standpoint it would deter a lot of people just starting to collect/those not super active on this forum. In my opinion, it would also just send caps to those who already have a decent Booper collection making them even harder to acquire than they already are. That's just my two cents, but hey, it is what it is
The whole point of this forum is to be active and involved in the hobby you enjoy.
Even if it deterred a ton of people from joining, Booper would still sell out based on the following she already has from active members of the community. The reason some people have a decent collection is because they are involved. It is not hard to acquire caps if you participate in raffles and are involved in the community. Yeah people lose out on raffles frequently but the longer you are involved the better your chances to win are.
So true. And that's an important point I think.
One of the most appealing things I like about this hobby is the community and people involved. It gives a sense of unity (R&M Season 3 please come soon!) in a way. I was driving this morning on a country road here in Denmark and I was looking out at the fields and the sun was shining, there were snowbanks everywhere and it was very beautiful. I had stopped to eat lunch in my car and while I was doing that I was reading up and trying to progress in KeyKollectives treassure hunt.
At that moment it dawned on me that someone on China or Thailand might be doing the same thing in 30* heat on their phone in a busy supercity, or someone in the US at some small town diner. I made me think about how this community has brought people together from all over the world, with completely different ages, jobs, backgrounds, social status and so on. It kinda made me wish we could do an international meetup that everyone could go to.
I guess my point it this.
When someone makes something out of pure love and interest the resulst is ALWAYS good. Doesn't matter if it's music, building motorbikes or keyboards. And when that happens it will naturally attract other people with the same heartfelt interest in the subject and that is sort of the point of being human.
..Okay my inner hippie might have taken over, but it's just something I've been thinking about lately.
I love all of you guys (exept for Otes hes a sanek) :-) Namaste
