Long time lurker first time poster
« on: Sat, 24 October 2015, 14:58:30 »
I just wanted to stop in and say hello.  My current daily driver is a HHKB Pro at work along with a Dell 101.

HHKB is love, HHKB is life.  I've been debating trying to get a second for work.

Welcome to Geekhack!

A nice contrast in keyboards, both size and switch.

Do you have a particular preference for either one?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

What can I say, I feel like Model Ms really suck since they flex and feel mushy sometimes while a quality scissor switch can actually be pleasant to use (like my IBM T500 keyboard).

Thanks for the welcomes.  THE HHKB is the first gen pro that I found on ebay.  It take some to get used to the layout.  I also have a mid 80'S Model M SSK that I bolt modded. It barely gets used though.

HHKB and SSK - two of my favourite keyboards :D
