Down the Rabbit Hole...
« on: Sun, 25 October 2015, 00:33:10 »
Hiya! I've been into the keyboard scene for a while, never made an account here even though this is a pretty big hub for everything keyboard related. Just wanted to peek in so far and say hi, I started off with a Cooler Master TKL w/ Blues and then immediately took the jump to an HHKB because I saw one for sale at a reasonable price and I can say that it's been my daily driver for quite a while now! Also a proud owner of a FC660C as well.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Bitten by the Topre bug :p

Thorpe for life!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Welcome, user who has become one with cup rubber!

I have wanted to try the FC660C for a while now. 60%-ish layout and metal plate. Durvid has a typing video of his 55g FC660C and it is a lovely sound. I recommend checking out 55g Topre next if you haven't already  :thumb:
