How to do a switches test?
«

Hello everyone~
I received a mechanical keyboard that didn't work anymore (controller on the pcb is dead), and I'm going to desoldering the whole keyboard recently.
I'm wondering that is there anyway to test whether the switches work or not before I soldering them to another keyboard?
Thanks

It depends on the type of switch, but if it's an electromechanical switch like Cherry or Alps you can test them for continuity with a multimeter. I'd be surprised if a significant number of them are dead though.
