Hi There!
« on: Sat, 07 November 2015, 22:14:47 »
I'm Ben,and I'm a keyboard enthusiast. (Addict)

Currently I have 3 keyboards and looking to purchase a 4th.

Current boards:
Ducky Shine 3 with browns - It was my first board, never liked the abs caps it came with.
Poker 2 with browns - I have some blanks on there and it gets annoying to type in numbers for passwords. Other than that I love the size since I take it to school.
A.87 with ergo clears 59g - Well I just stole this board off another Geekhack member I met locally, I've been loving it so far. It has Midnight abs caps on it and I love typing on them.

I have also purchased a Rapoo KX for my girlfriend, she hasn't really been using it much though. So I might just take it back and use it for myself. I think that I have a problem... Oh yes and I'm currently in search for my first Topre board. Hopefully it'll be a HHKB.

I hope to learn lots more from the community and get involved in artisans sometime soon. I should be getting a BBv2 in the mail sometime in the next few weeks, and that's when the trading will commence!

Welcome to Geekhack!

You're not quite addicted yet, not until you ave a dozen keyboards and at least as many spare keycap sets :p

Have you considered blank keycaps except for non-blank on the number row?  That could be an interesting and perhaps practical look, I don't think I've seen a layout like that yet.

Keycaps can be replaced - have you still got the originals on your Ducky?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Actually replaced the alphas and mods on the Ducky to Pok3r keycaps. I'll try out putting the number row keys onto my Poker tonight.

At least all the keyboards have the same layout!
