Hi, i'm gonna do this again
« on: Sat, 14 November 2015, 12:11:14 »
Hey guys, my last post on here a day or two ago made me sound like an annoying brat. I don't want to make a bad first impression. Also I noticed so far I'm the only one with a profile pic that's actually (totally not) me, what's up with that?

That's because it's not a profile pic, it's an avatar. BIG difference.

Avatars are a holdover from early BBs and forums, back before people had digital cameras.

We are a bunch of spoiled brats around here, so don't worry about that.  :p

As for demik, that his way of saying you be you and don't apologize for it.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
