matias linear
« on: Sun, 15 November 2015, 21:18:03 »
Hi everyone, how light are Matias linear. I like mx red lightness but can't compare them to mx red since the units for actuation force are different. Are they as light or heavier?

Also the travel distance is 3.5 while cherrys is 4. How much of a difference is that, like an o ring difference?

The Matias linear's actuation force is 35±5 gf = ~34.32±4.9cN where the Cherry MX reds are a 45cN actuation force, so the Matias linear's are lighter.
Although O-rings come in different sizes, a common size is ~1.5mm.  Since the difference is by 0.5mm, then it is less of a travel distance so (correct me if I'm wrong) but you shouldn't notice a difference.
