Need Poker X Instructions
« on: Wed, 25 November 2015, 08:31:19 »
I've had a half dozen poker x's over the years and I've never thought to make a scan of the instructions/layout sheet. I just got another one because this is the one keyboard I can't seem to stop buying even though I hardly ever use them. But this time on vacation I've realized this poker is really convenient to have I just need to change some settings.

Can someone who has access to the instruction sheet make a scan of them and upload it somewhere? Or even just a decent photo of them would be fine to. And if these are already available somewhere maybe just link me to it??

http://webwit.nl/input/misc/poker/usermanual.pdf

I think the DIP switch numbers are in the wrong order, though, so they are actually:

#1: Left Win change to FN
#2: Caps Ctrl swap
#3: Left Win and Alt swap
#4: Left Win lock
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Now I just need that handy key layout sheet.

There still might be someone with a scan of the actual sheet that comes with the poker x. :D

I have one copy of that sheet, but it is buried very deep in some pile of papers and as it was folded it is very hard to find. Hope someone comes up with one.

I've got one somewhere. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on it.

I think I've got one somewhere as well. I'll check when I get home tomorrow night if you don't have one by then.

I honked a few times and thought of you as I fought the rain and bumper to bumper traffic going through Nashville earlier this afternoon.  ;)

I've never seen one of these poker X keyboards before.
KPB V60 Gateron Browns and Leopold Keycaps.  Poker 3 with Gateron Browns and Poker keycaps.  Poker 3 with Cherry MX Browns, ABS keycaps and white LED's.

Leopold FC660M- my new favorite, right out of the box.

It was my first sixty back in the days when I was a total newbie, it is a great keyboard. The first time I saw it I said, wow, I want a mechanical keyboard that small, I used it for three years. I sold it earlier this year because I am using keyboards with the Nerd 60 PCB, that is close to the Poker but allows me to use OG Cherry sets as they are with 1.5u modifiers and 7u space bar, with the Poker I was always looking for adapters and moogles that are sub-par solutions when compared with the use of original keys only.

This is the picture I saw the first time:

I still find myself using either NerD 60 PCBs or b.face X2 PCBs this day... but pretty much loading a custom layout that always goes back to Poker X keys (mostly). Not a fan of where the Pok3r has gone with layouts.

I bought the last Poker X that MechanicalKeyboards.com had for sale on their site. They were making room for the then upcoming Poker II and I thought it might be my last chance to get one. The board came with MX-Blacks, which I had never tried, but I bought it anyway thinking that I'd replace the switches.  That board ended up becoming my daily driver and is one that I type on to this day.

Of course I completely took it apart, lubed and stickered the switches, added a plate, a Hammer case, Penumbra key cap set and custom USB cable, but at it's core it's still a Poker X and I really love typing on it.

When did you buy it?? I bought a NIB Poker X with blacks that they 'found' on a shelf somewhere  ~ March 2014. Of course I sold it and its been since sold again but I did buy another poker x just recently :D

Yeah, I'm the one that found it.  :))

CPTBadAss and I went out there for a visit and found that they had one left. I told him if he posted it, it would sell immediately. Didn't know you were the one that bought it. LOL!

I had bought mine in late 2013, early 2014. So, I guess technically I bought the second to last one.  :thumb:

That's awesome, of course I probably would have kept it had I known that or at least charge more when I sold it hahahaha :o :p

i have two, one is fine, the other the pcb is so burnt out half the switches had to be jumped, but still holding on to those things. amazing boards, even though i never use them any more.

I have a second Poker X with MX-White switches that has an issue like that. I lifted a pad and had to create a jumper. The board still works great in spite of the fix. They're great little boards.

mine probably has about 12-15 switches that i've had to jump. I bought it used, and the PO absolutely roasted the thing. I keep it pcb mounted so i can just swap the stems whenever I want.
