I shall pray for the seller's capslock key to be fixed so he or she can type normally.

Hope someone gets a good price on this.

Indeed, kaburg, that's a great price for an apparently unused M.

A bit of Goo Gone will remove that tape residue, too. Unless the buyer prefers to preserve it, of course—it is genuine IBM residue.  :?)

Was the description all-caps? It's not now. Maybe the seller's a GH member who saw your post and was shamed into editing.

The original post was edited. The auction link that was up when the thread was created was this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-MODEL-M-TRACKBALL-KEYBOARD-RARE-VINTAGE-1994-BLUE-LOGO-ps-2/361439355510

I guess that explains why the current link says there is a mouse or maybe I just don't know enough about model M's.

Edit: nevermind he just typed out what was written on the box

Glad someone got a great deal on that M with trackball. Nice!

I'm the seller and I haven't made any revisions to the original eBay posting. The auction includes a mouse. I think perhaps Ludovidican confused my eBay auction with a different eBay auction.

The post that started this thread was for the trackball M.   kaburg changed it after a few had already noticed it.

I'm guessing either he wanted it or someone messaged him saying "it's an auction with a low price, by posting it here you'll drive the price up, I'd appreciate it if you removed it."

Instead of removing it he switched the title/link but it was too late at that point.

No harm done, I think... Maybe I'm missing something, but if Ludovician hadn't made the "caps lock" comment, it would've just ended up being about the (apparently) NIB Lexmark M—which, currently at $51 shipped, qualifies as a Great Find IMHO.

I saw the original thread and when it was switched I commented without regard to the previous comments.

I kept it vague so as not to reveal the original listing which I assume was hidden for the purpose of keeping the price down.

The replacement listing does seem a great find if there's no last minute sniping.  We'll see.

For my part, I commented without regard to the comments in either of the topics adjoining this one. I am always vague, and my posts should always be hidden for the purpose of maintaining a semblance of sanity around here. But no.

Whoever won this link for the kb and mouse got a great deal.  I have several of those mice (but not one with the two-tone buttons like that one), and they're better than most.
